As the family grew in numbers the portion of territory they called their home began to grow crowded. It was during this time the matriarch of the family, Pine Talon, was visited by the Celestials in a dream. They spoke of their story and revealed it was them who had blessed her offspring and grandkittens their powers. Pine Talon listened intently as the ancient cats told her that soon her family would outgrow the forested area. The she-cat had always known this eventually and confided to the Celestials that she was fearful of her family breaking apart.
The ethereal cat's assured her this would not be the case, They would help guide her offspring down their own paths and that the land was big enough to offer homes for them all. They showed her of the Moon Tree, where her offspring would always be able to go for guidance from them. When Pine Talon woke she held a meeting with her family. She spoke about her dream, the Celestials and what they had told her. Her five oldest grandkits, Ripple Song, Heather Thistle, Breeze Leaf, Spark Tail and Fire Reed, would settle down and form their own tribes. The family spoke of the stories and traditions their ancestors in a colony had so many seasons ago. Her grandkits, adults in their own rights, agreed. They made plans that each year they would gather together in the large, lone cherry blossom tree when it was in full bloom. The family splintered off into five tribes according to their elements and left to settle down their own camps and roots. Ripple Song decided to move into a ravine shielded by a waterfall with her followers. Spark Tail traveled North into the mountains and with her cats staked claim to a steep ravine with many cliffs. Heather Thistle moved to the East over the river with his sister, Breeze Leaf. Each formed their tribes in separate locations, Heather Thistle to the North in the hills and Breeze Leaf a little South within a thick grove of trees. Fire Reed, ever the ambitions she-cat laid claim to a patch of forest away from her family, West of the mountains in a forest. |
